SWAN Systems

SWAN Systems is a cost effective, online data analytics platform to optimise and manage water and nutrient application.

SWAN delivers an integrated and simple to use software solution to both irrigation and nutrient management. It is about tailoring a solution to users to ensure they optimise their water and fertiliser consumption - the right quantity, at the right time. It provides precise planning and monitoring for better economic, environmental and social outcomes.

SWAN uses telemetry to collect a range of data inputs including weather, irrigation flow volumes and soil moisture probe readings. It is web-based for accessibility and automated for speed of delivery. It is unique in its combination of nutrients with water and its hardware independence; it can interface with most existing irrigation equipment.

The data is processed by proven algorithms with calibration to soil type, crop type, water source, plant growth phase and type of irrigation hardware to inform the user as to the right time and amount of water to be applied. The nutrient module monitors fertiliser mixes, timing of applications and nutrient uptake curves and tracks this in the context of the irrigation program.

SWAN is about proactive management and its use of forward looking weather data means it is disrupting the set and forget systems that have been the historical approach to scheduling. It allows for technical expertise to oversee crop irrigation and nutrient application simply and easily.
