RapidFLY

RapidAim's first application, RapidFLY, is for the real-time detection and monitoring of fruit flies.

End users subscribe, smart traps are deployed across their orchards, and subscribers receive alerts and high resolution, real-time maps of fruit fly detection on their farm; real-time pest occurrence across their region, and fruit fly forecasts so that they know what's coming.

  • Focus areas
  • Pricing model

Monthly subscription fee for a 12-24 month contract. The end user receives the easy to use mobile app that provides real-time fruit fly detection information. The farm-level deployment of smart sensors depends on the pest monitoring objective e.g. high value export vs domestic canning.

  • Installation process

Our RapidFLY solution is currently installed by the vendor. Smart devices are leased as part of the subscription agreement and deployed according to the pest monitoring objectives of the end user.

  • Ongoing maintenance required and support provided in Australia

We have local service providers who service the traps as needed for insect lure changes and battery changes.

  • Data ownership policy

RapidAIM is a subscription model. The subscriber has full use of the data generated from their properties - no restrictions on how to use it. RapidAIM has a lifetime license to use the data for analytics (e.g. pest forecasting), to modify, and to bundle. Properties will be de-identified and a name will never be associated with the data, and the spatial component of the data will be sanitised at the level of several kilometres.

  • Data privacy and security policy

Communication between our Internet of Things (IoT) insect detection devices and the internet are encrypted, and encryption is on a per device basis. Server data is protected by cryptographic keys.
