Sensing+ for Agriculture is an end-to-end microclimate solution. Our on-farm sensors collect and analyse localised growing conditions, giving growers fast and easy access to precise data and insights specific to what is happening within individual microclimates.

Growers can now plan ahead, optimising workflow and activities for the days to follow, and better plan resources such as pickers for harvesting and other weather dependent staffing activities. Most importantly, The Yield's AI capability means growers have highly localised and accurate seven-day predictions for weather and growing conditions down to crop and even row level.

Our advanced predictive analytics allows for:

  • Financial savings on fertiliser and chemicals through more accurate scheduling

Installation process

Sensing+ for Agriculture is fully installed by The Yield. The service includes a full assessment of your needs as a business, what problems you are facing and trying to solve, and an assessment of your site, including challenges around hotspots, microclimates and topology of the area. The Yield staff will conduct a site assessment, and once the plan is approved by you, the team will come out again to conduct the installation.

Our end-to-end system includes all ongoing maintenance service and costs. Our support team is always on hand via phone or email to answer any enquiries, as well as on-ground technical staff available should a visit to your site become necessary.

Communications compatibility

Gateway is 3G/4G and ethernet compatible. Through the ethernet we can use any backhaul that is being used on the farm (e.g. satellite). The Farm Area Network (FAN) is a self-healing mesh using 6LoWPAN.
