CropScan 3300H On Combine Analyser

The CropScan 3300H On Combine Analyser is a Near Infrared Analyser that measures protein, oil and moisture in grains and oil seeds as they are harvested in a combine harvester.

The system consists of 3 components:

1. Remote Sampling Head

2. NIR Spectrometer

3. Touch Screen Tablet PC Controller.

The Remote Sampling Head is mounted to the side of the clean grain elevator in the combine. As grain travels up the elevator, a small portion falls into the sampling head where NIR light passes through the grain, collected into a fibre optic cable and sent back to the NIR Spectrometer located inside the cabin of the combine. The NIR spectra is generated and sent to the Tablet PC where the protein, oil and moisture are computed. GPS coordinates are recorded along with the protein, moisture and oil data so that field maps can be generated in real time.

The data is sent to the Cloud to represent the average protein, moisture and oil of each bin or tank load of grain stripped in the field. Logistics Software provides a means of managing grain quantity and quality directly from the combine. A virtual farm is set up in the Tablet PC showing all the grain storage systems available on farm. As grain is sent to each storage system the running average of protein, oil and moisture are updated along with the tonnage.

The CropScan 3300H provides a complete grain management system directly from the combine.

Pricing model

The CropScan 3300H is a capital item and is either leased or purchased outright. Software is included in the system and there are no annual fees or upgrade fees charged.

Installation process

The CropScan 3300H is installed by a factory trained technician, such as the combine dealer. Farmers can install the system with assistance provided by Next Instruments using Teamviewer.

Ongoing maintenance required and support provided in Australia

The CropScan 3300H requires an annual service and calibration check. This is performed by the combine dealer or Next Instruments.
